We are currently seeking anexperienced SEND Teacherto join our welcoming and supportive team at a mainstream school inSmethwick. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a small group ofKS2 pupils, all of whom are working atYear 1/2 levelsdue to their additional needs.

Role Overview:

  • Position:SEND Teacher (KS2)
  • Location:Smethwick
  • Days:4 days a week (Monday to Friday)
  • Class Size:Approximately 10 pupils with a range of special educational needs
  • Support:You will be supported by Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who will work alongside you in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the specific needs of pupils with additional needs.
  • Manage and support a small group of KS2 pupils working at Year 1/2 levels.
  • Collaborate effectively with LSAs and other staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Use your experience and knowledge to adapt teaching methods and resources to suit the varied needs of the pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)is essential.
  • Proven experience working with pupils with additional needs in a classroom setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEND and the ability to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
