Purchase Ledger Manager

PURCHASE LEDGER TEAM LEADER UP TO £36,000 FULL TIME, PERMANENT NEWARK, NG22 SF Recruitment are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join a fantastic and thriving business based in Newark. My client is offering onsite parking, predominantly home working with other flexible benefits. Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure purchase invoices are accurately processed in a timely manner; Supervise and manage the Accounts Payable function; Resolve all invoice and payment queries with the Accounts Payable department, working with both internal and external stakeholders; Manage the AP team's performance appraisals, individual development, and absence management; Ensure all accounts payable tasks are completed in line with month end deadlines; Review the purchase ledger on a monthly basis ensuring allocations have been completed correctly and investigating any balances queries; Manage and implement AP department process improvement and have demonstrable previous process improvement history Drive banking / payment and system improvement to ensure team efficiency Generate daily, weekly ad hoc payment runs as necessary; Monitor Accounts Payable mailbox to ensure requests are dealt with in a timely manner. Personal Specification: You have previous experience as an Accounts Payable Manager, ideally within a high transaction environment. You have experience in successful implementation of new systems and processes. You have advanced MS Excel skills You are well organised, prioritising and working within key deadlines in a fast-paced environment; You have the ability to work thoroughly, methodically with an excellent attention to detail; You can work collaboratively with other members of the team as well as key stakeholders across the group;
