Working across both a college and a school supporting young people aged 11-25, the Occupational Therapist will be required to play a part in the assessment and treatment of children and young people at the school and college.

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of an Occupational Therapy Service. The post holder will provide Occupational Therapy Services in response to needs identified by assessment where appropriate, and as set out as part of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP), to enable students to fulfil their potential in all aspects of their lives.

Newly Qualified Occupational Therapists are welcome to apply.

Requirements:

  • A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • A interest in supporting children and young adults with complex needs and diagnoses including ASD, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • An interest in supporting students with sensory modulation difficulties and motor coordination difficulties.
  • Ability to demonstrate and commit to continual professional development.
  • A strong desire to make a difference to young people.
  • A creative and adaptable approach to work.
  • Ability to design and develop individual treatment programmesAbility to form good working relationships with a wide variety of people
