Introduction

This is an incredible opportunity to join a business with a big investment and plans for their sales team. We are looking for someone to assist in the growth and acquisition of new business, as part of a growing the team your role will evolve alongside the company as it expands.

The role is primarily office / field based.

The Role

This is a newly created role for the business. The existing accounts are well looked-after and now the company is seeking to reach for new heights by building out a Business Development Team.

With a well-established client base throughout the midlands, you will be tasked with hunting for new opportunities, being an advocate for telephony products and solutions, and managing a growing business development team.

Responsibilities.

  • Carry out cold-calling in order to create interest in products and services, generate new business leads and arrange meetings.
  • Set and meet sales targets
  • Identify and develop new business through networking and follow-up courtesy calls.
  • Speak to customers, either face to face or over the phone.
  • Ensure quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of employer's systems and processes, and then documenting them.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations of software to customers.
  • Market and promote a portfolio of Group products by writing and designing sales literature and attending industry events.
  • Maintain awareness and keep abreast of constantly changing software and hardware systems and peripherals.
  • Provide technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of computer systems and networks, both before and after the sale ensuring the help desk process is followed.

Requirements

You must have at least 5 years of sales experience in the industry. Specifically in telephony as this will be the main focus.

A hunter attitude - this role is 100% new business focused

Proven history of successful sales (P60 will be required as proof of earnings)

Strong "black book" or network of existing clients / contracts in the industry

Full, clean UK driving licence

For the right person, this opportunity will unlock serious earning potential; with a basic salary of up to £45k, first year earnings of £65k and upwards of £85k by year two. You'll have a car allowance of up to £4500 per year and expert training from the Sales Director.
