Role Overview
Salary: £70,000 + commission
Location: Wakefield City Centre/Home (with regular office and client visits)
Reports To: CEO
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and sectors where Morphologic’s no-code platform can deliver exceptional value.
- Work closely with the CEO and Board to align growth strategies with company goals.
Sales and Client Management
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of new opportunities.
- Lead client acquisition efforts, presenting Morphologic’s platform as the perfect solution for their needs.
- Serve as the key point of contact for strategic clients, ensuring exceptional service and long-term relationships.
- Negotiate and close contracts that align with Morphologic’s goals and values.
- Expand existing client relationships, identifying upsell opportunities.
Growing and Managing a Team
- Build and lead a high-performing business development team as the organisation scales.
- Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities, creating a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
- Define team goals, KPIs, and success metrics to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Optimise team structure and refine workflows and sales strategies to enhance efficiency and results.
- Lead by example in client engagement and deal-making, setting a high standard for relationship management and negotiation.
Collaboration and Communication
- Act as a bridge between clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and clear communication.
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to the CEO and key stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Product Development team to integrate client feedback and market trends into product offerings.
Marketing and Brand Development
- Represent Morphologic at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote our brand.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies that raise Morphologic’s profile in the no-code platform market.
- Performance and Reporting
- Set and achieve ambitious sales and growth targets, measuring performance through clear metrics.
- Provide detailed reports on account progress, pipeline development, and forecasted goals.
What You Bring
Essential Skills and Experience
- A demonstrable track record of success in business development, sales, or key account management.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or a transferable field.
- Strong understanding of organisational needs across multiple sectors and how digital tools can drive transformation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills—you can confidently present ideas in various settings.
- Skilled in negotiation and influencing, with a focus on building lasting client relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and familiar with CRM tools to track progress and opportunities.
- Exceptionally adaptable—you thrive in fast-changing environments and embrace new challenges with confidence.
- A natural problem solver who proactively identifies obstacles, thinks critically, and develops creative solutions to drive success.
Desirable
- Experience in the software industry.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- A degree or equivalent relevant experience in a related field.
