Smart Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated Educational Psychologist to support students aged 7 to 18 across two specialist school sites in Walsall. These schools cater to a diverse range of special educational needs, including autism, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and complex needs. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a meaningful impact on young people’s lives through psychological assessments, interventions, and staff training.

Job Requirements for this Educational Psychologist role:• Must be HCPC registered as an Educational Psychologist• Must hold a Doctorate in Educational Psychology• Experience working with children and young people or relevant transferable skills• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and external professionals• Understanding of psychotherapeutic approaches, particularly in relation to young people with complex needs• Knowledge of legislation related to SEND, trauma, mental health, and safeguarding• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites is required

This role involves providing consultation, psychological assessments, and therapeutic interventions within a specialist setting. You will play a vital role in helping students develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills while also supporting staff in delivering effective, therapeutic strategies.
