Debbie Burbage Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established company based in Wellingborough to recruit an experienced Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive accounts team.

You’ll be part of a busy and friendly Accounts Receivable department where teamwork is highly valued. This varied role will include:

  • Setting up new customer accounts and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Raising invoices and issuing credit notes where appropriate
  • Allocating cash and reconciling accounts
  • Resolving customer queries and providing copy invoices when needed
  • Undertaking bank reconciliations
  • Conducting debtor analysis
  • Managing a shared inbox and processing incoming requests
  • Supporting senior managers with reporting and ad hoc projects

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be someone who is a team player, bringing a confident, personable, and friendly approach to their work. They should be resilient, with a mature outlook, and able to thrive in a relaxed and open environment, with a good sense of humour. Strong organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to take initiative, manage their own time effectively, and prioritise tasks. A solid work ethic and a proactive attitude are key. The successful candidate will be numerate and literate, with experience in banking processes such as cash allocation and posting payments. Intermediate Excel skills, including confidence with VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas, are a must.

Remuneration:

  • Salary: £negotiable per annum pro-rata depending on experience
  • Hours: Flexible 30 hours per week – Hybrid working
  • Holidays: 25 days plus Statutory days
  • Benefits: Excellent benefits package
