Position: Home School Liaison OfficerLocation: Brent, North-West LondonContract: Full-time, ASAP startDay Rate: £110 - £130 a day

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Home School Liaison Officer to join our inclusive and supportive secondary school in Brent. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people by supporting students from vulnerable backgrounds, overseeing the Educational Welfare across the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing Educational Welfare across the academy.
  • Managing a caseload of 'at risk' students
  • Monitoring and improving the attendance of most vulnerable students
  • Conducting home visits to engage families and address barriers to school attendance
  • Representing the academy at external meetings e.g. Social Services Case Conferences, Child in Need Meetings
  • Ensuring effective communication/consultation as appropriate with the parents of students
  • Leading on legal interventions for non-attendance where necessary
  • Monitoring progress of vulnerable students
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with external providers, agencies, and support networks
  • Preparing of reports and maintaining records relating to student referrals and subsequent counselling or support
For this role, you will need:
  • Ideally, a degree level qualification
  • Experience working with families and challenging students
  • Experience working in a pastoral capacity
