Head of Tactical Procurement

HEAD OF TACTICAL PROCUREMENT - GLOBAL AEROSPACE/ AVIATION - ESSEX - £65,000 - £85,000 + 30-100% BONUS + 12K CAR ALLOWANCE + PACKAGEPod Talent are excited to partner with a leading global aerospace business to recruit a Group Head of Procurement to lead and further build a newly created tactical procurement team. As a result of a companywide expansion and the implementation of a global initiative, the Head of Tactical Procurement will be leading the execution of the procurement process whilst, working collaboratively with their strategic counterpart to drive procurement excellence and cost savings across the group. This is a newly created role, formed to be the interface between the business and its supply base. The role will strive to ensure that service levels regarding customer product fulfilment meet business plans, and improve the efficacy of day-to-day decisions made by the global procurement team.Group Head of Procurement key responsibilities:

• Leading and development of the tactical procurement workstream.
• Nurturing supplier stakeholders so those relationships can be leveraged by the business when required.
• Mature the global procurement processes so that it reflects the needs of a global organisation.
• Address opportunities to improve margin contributions and product availability.

The Head of Procurement will have:

• Strong experience within a complex procurement environment, preferably within aviation/ aerospace and ideally within the fastener supply chain.
• Desirable to understand AS9120 but not essential
• Evident experience of leading a multi-centred, multi-cultured global team and designing and implementing successful global process change, affecting multiple stakeholders.
