ARM have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join a UK Based manufacturer on a permanent basis.
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Stock and Inventory Department within the business
The Role:
- Ensure effective and efficient processes are in place by driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and set effective minimum stock levels, in line with production needs.
- Efficient stock turnover in line with budgeted targets (Inventory turnover ratio).
- Ensure stock rotation is maintained for production minimising the presence of slow moving or obsolete materials.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring any delays to deliveries are communicated through the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance and best practice in all areas of responsibilities.
- Responsible for stock reconciliations and stock-taking process.
- Support the return's function ensuring all returns are processed and stock control maintained.
Requirements:
- Designed and implemented processes and procedures.
- Must come form a manufacturing background
- Lean principles and their application within a manufacturing sector.
- Experience of developing a department for additional business needs.
- Outstanding organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- An analytical mind with strong attention to detail
