Supply Chain Manager

ARM have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join a UK Based manufacturer on a permanent basis.

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Stock and Inventory Department within the business

The Role:

  • Ensure effective and efficient processes are in place by driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and set effective minimum stock levels, in line with production needs.
  • Efficient stock turnover in line with budgeted targets (Inventory turnover ratio).
  • Ensure stock rotation is maintained for production minimising the presence of slow moving or obsolete materials.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring any delays to deliveries are communicated through the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance and best practice in all areas of responsibilities.
  • Responsible for stock reconciliations and stock-taking process.
  • Support the return's function ensuring all returns are processed and stock control maintained.

Requirements:

  • Designed and implemented processes and procedures.
  • Must come form a manufacturing background
  • Lean principles and their application within a manufacturing sector.
  • Experience of developing a department for additional business needs.
  • Outstanding organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • An analytical mind with strong attention to detail
