Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker looking to make a real impact in children’s lives? Join Surrey’s Family Support & Safeguarding Team, where you will provide vital support to children and families, ensuring safety, stability, and positive outcomes.

As a Senior Social Worker in the Family Support & Safeguarding Team, you will work with children in need, children at risk, and families facing challenges. Your role will focus on providing timely interventions, safeguarding children, and supporting families to create safe and nurturing environments.

• Manage a complex caseload of children in need, child protection, and court proceedings.
• Undertake thorough assessments and risk analysis to develop effective care and support plans.
• Work in partnership with families, schools, health professionals, and other agencies to provide holistic support.
• Chair multi-agency meetings and contribute to child protection conferences and legal proceedings.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to newly qualified and less experienced social workers.
• Ensure all work is compliant with statutory legislation, safeguarding policies, and best practice guidelines.

? A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.? Significant experience in children’s social work, family support, and safeguarding.? Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, risk assessment, and court processes.? Excellent relationship-building and communication skills to work effectively with families and professionals.? Ability to handle complex cases and make sound decisions under pressure.? A passion for helping children and families achieve positive change.
