Our client is a luxurious new hotel offering exceptional service and exquisite dining experiences for our guests. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Sous Chef to join their culinary team and contribute to the success of this prestigious new establishment. This is a rare opportunity to join a team who are passionate about food, making everything from scratch and sourcing seasonal, local produce. This will include their own beehive, vegetable garden and foraging of the local areas, to create unique dishes. The brand-new kitchen has also undergone a £500k investment into all of the latest equipment you can imagine. You will have the ability to provide input into new dishes, menu development and be responsible for providing guests with an unforgettable culinary experience. This is a full-time role, 45 hours per week, with paid breaks and overtime. Rotas are created 3 weeks in advance to provide stability.  Salary                   Up to £35,100 per annum, including amazing benefits listed belowLocation               Outskirts of Wokingham – due to location, your own transport is a must What you’ll be doing  
  • Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Inspire kitchen staff to deliver high-quality dishes with consistency.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet established standards.
  • Assist with menu planning, inventory control, and ordering of ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff to ensure their development.
 What you can bring to the role  
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role, ideally in high-end hotel or restaurant settings.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Passion for food and creativity in menu design and presentation.
  • Professional culinary qualifications or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
