Responsible for achieving company inventory management goals for assigned Planners, Suppliers or Categories which includes but is not limited to exemplary customer service, PO (purchase order) accuracy (cost, quantity, dates), minimal spoilage and shrink, and managing inventory to the lowest possible DSO (daily sales outstanding). Achieve planned inventory management Service Level, DSO, and Spoilage goals while maximizing operational efficiencies. Review critical items and take necessary action to support end customer service level. Review daily out of stock report, communicate to sales as needed and expedite orders appropriately. Manage inbound POs by confirming for cost, quantity and dates, overdue orders, Overages, shorts, and damage, etc. Maintain forecasting system parameters to manage demand changes customer events, business shifts, and seasonality changes as needed. Demonstrate an intermediate level of proficiency of the Manhattan inventory planning tool DPR (demand planning system), to drive teams performance as indicated by DPR scorecards, dashboards and merchandising KPIs. Support returns to suppliers as required. Support product recalls as required. Manage purchase order costing and date accuracy through confirmations and alerts. Follow supplier and corporate market conditions/trends to identify purchasing opportunities. Provide basic demand planning support and field feedback to Corporate Planner for action and/or alignment.
